Enrique Salva 1961 (Spain)

The original manufacturer of these barrel pianos was Vicente Llinares of Barcelona, Spain. He was better known for the “Faventia” barrel piano and the Enrique Salva Mane brand was predominantly used for products sold from department stores at the time. Although barrel pianos are acquired tastes at the best of times accoustically, a well tuned and adjusted Salva machine can put out a spirited tune. The wooden barrels are pinned to play 6 tunes and use 36 keys – 32 for the piano and two each for the wood block and triangle.
